Spicy stir-fried noodles (japchae) cup ramen, fried rice.
Fried RiceIngredients
- One cup of instant noodles.
- Water at room temperature (enough to just submerge the noodles slightly).
- Instant noodle seasoning packet (half to one packet).
- One bowl of rice.
- 2 eggs.
- A suitable amount of beef (such as sirloin).
- Bell peppers (red, yellow), a moderate amount.
- 2 teaspoons of soy sauce.
- 2 teaspoons of seasoned vinegar.
- 2 teaspoons of sugar.
- A small amount of oyster sauce.
- Cooking oil.
- One drop of sesame oil.
- Sesame seeds/toasted sesame powder (optional).
Instructions
Place the instant noodles into a bag, crush them finely, and then put them back into the cup.
Pour a shallow amount of room temperature water over the noodles and add about half of the soup base. Let them soak. (Do not use hot water, as it will cause the noodles to become mushy.)
Finely chop the beef and bell peppers and prepare them.
Heat some oil in a pan, then stir-fry the beef and set it aside.
In a pan with the remaining meat drippings, stir-fry the bell peppers. Add the meat back in, along with 2 teaspoons each of soy sauce and cooking wine (mirin), and 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce. Stir-fry everything together to create a smoky flavor, and you'll have your spicy japchae.
In a separate pan, heat plenty of oil and whisk two eggs together. Scramble the eggs and then add the cooked rice to the pan, stirring everything together until well combined.
Add the pre-soaked ramen noodles and stir-fry until the excess moisture evaporates and the noodles become fluffy.
First, sprinkle some sesame seeds or seaweed flakes at the bottom of the instant noodle container. Then, firmly press down the stir-fried glass noodles on top of that, and finally, fill the rest with fried rice.
Place the cups upside down in a dish and finish by adding a single drop of sesame oil.
