Stir-fried pork belly with green chili peppers.
Grilled Pork Belly⏱ 15min👥 3 servings
Ingredients
- 600g of pork belly (approximately 1.5-2 cm thick).
- 300g of green chili peppers.
- 10-15 cloves of garlic.
- 1 tablespoon of doubanjiang (fermented broad bean paste).
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce.
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce.
- 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- 6 tablespoons of Masool (a type of Korean liquor).
Instructions
1
Cut the pork belly into thick slices about the width of your fingers. Halve the green peppers and garlic cloves.
2
Mix all the ingredients for the sauce (including doubanjiang, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and mirin) thoroughly.
3
Heat a wok over high heat, then stir-fry the pork belly until it's nicely browned.
4
Wipe away almost all of the oil, leaving only about two teaspoons behind.
5
Add the garlic and stir-fry for about a minute to release its aroma.
6
Pour in the sauce mixture and add the green chili peppers once it starts to boil.
7
After the sauce has completely reduced and the chili peppers have slightly softened, stir-fry over high heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
