Easy Potato Stir-Fry.
Braised Potatoes⏱ 20min👥 3 servings
Ingredients
- 6 potatoes.
- Dashima (kelp) broth (soak a 5cm x 5cm piece of dashima in water for 30 minutes).
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce.
- 3 tablespoons of cooking wine.
- 1.5 tablespoons of sugar.
- 1 tablespoon of gochugaru (Korean chili powder).
- 1 tablespoon of minced garlic.
- Onions, a moderate amount.
- Green onions, a moderate amount.
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil.
- A moderate amount of sesame seeds.
Instructions
1
Cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces (about 1 cm apart), then rinse them in salted water to remove excess starch.
2
Prepare a dashi broth using kelp. Then, in a separate bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin (sweet rice wine), sugar, and gochugaru (Korean chili powder) to create the marinade.
3
In a pot, combine potatoes, onions, green onions, and minced garlic. Add the seasoning sauce and bring to a boil.
4
Gently stir the potatoes as they simmer to prevent them from breaking apart.
5
When the cooking is almost complete, sesame oil and sesame seeds are added and stirred in with the Korean radish.
