Pollock Fish Pancake⏱ 15min👥 3 servings
Ingredients
- 400g of Dongtae (pollock).
- 3.5 grams of salt.
- 1.5 grams of white pepper powder.
- 1.5 grams of sugar.
- Flour + Potato Pancake Mix (blend).
- 2-3 eggs.
- A small amount of soup soy sauce.
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste), green chilies (such as cheongyang gochu), chopped scallions, and minced garlic.
- Perilla oil.
Instructions
1
Season the thawed cod fillets with salt, white pepper, and sugar, and let them marinate for 10 minutes. (White pepper is recommended instead of black pepper as it provides a cleaner look.)
2
The eggs are first strained through a sieve, then seasoned with *guk-ganjang* (soup soy sauce).
3
In a bowl of beaten eggs, add plenty of finely chopped chili peppers, green onions, and garlic, and mix until it forms a thick batter.
4
Coat the fish fillets with a mixture of flour and cornstarch, then generously coat them in egg wash before placing them on a pan.
5
Just as the Jeon is about to finish cooking, lightly brush the edges of the pan with perilla oil to enhance its flavor.
